Tomorrow is THE day...

My first tournament and I couldn’t fall asleep.

As I laid in bed, all I thought about was...

Why did I tell everyone about this. My parents, my wife, my buddies.

I bragged to everyone.

Suddenly I woke up...

I looked at the clock. 06:09 AM. I had slept for 3 hours.

I tried to get some more sleep, but my nerves didn’t let me.

As I laid in my bed...

I only thought about my weeks of bragging to everyone.

I pulled my hair.

“Why did I do this?! How am I going to perform feeling this exhausted...”

After half an hour, I decided to get up and get my breakfast.

Usually I have my morning coffee with my breakfast, but today I can’t...

Coffee makes me feel super jittery and I always crash If I don’t keep drinking.

As my wife got up and was getting ready to head out to the tournament,

I sat on the couch, in complete silence, trying to calm myself.

My wife had finished. “Honeyyy...?? I’m ready.”

I thought I had calmed myself but when I heard her...

I started shaking.

I felt like the new kid who had to do a class presentation.

I felt like I was back at my first job interview.

I felt like the first time I met my parents-in-law.

I started thinking...

“What if I don’t go? What if I cancel? What if I...”

I was about to do something stupid, when it hit me.

One of my archery buddies had gifted me some kind of supplement...

I couldn’t think clearly at the time, but I remembered something about ensuring vigilance and energy.

Exactly what I needed.

He had told me that after he tried it once, he never stopped.

So, I thought f**k it and ran upstair to find the bottle.

As we got to the tournament, I popped one.

After 20 minutes, I felt like a new person, calm, composed and collected.

Fast forward few months...

Just like my buddy, I use it every time I train and have gone through 3 bottles already.

I’m ready for my next tournament in a few weeks, my accuracy has improved, my confidence is through the roof and I’ve bragged even more this time...

This time, I’m coming home with gold.

And if you wanted to know if I won my first tournament...

I wish, I placed third, but I was satisfied I didn’t humiliate myself.
